About This Course

Who this course is for:

  • Anyone who is looking to understand more about Python with a view to break into a career in either software development, Data Analysis or Data Science.
  • Equally, you may be a professional working in tech or finance and want to learn new analytical techniques that can enhance your overall skillset.

What you’ll learn:

  • Python Fundamentals
  • Data Structures, Conditionals and Loops
  • Pandas
  • Data Visualization

Requirements:

  • No prior knowledge is required to take this course

In this course, we will have a full overview of Python programming. We will start with fundamental Python functionality such as arithmetic, conditional statements, and working with basic data structures.

We will then expand upon our working knowledge of data structures to work with full-blown datasets in the Pandas package. Within Pandas, we will be able to extract CSVs and Excel files of data, manipulate columns and rows, filter data, group together categories, and much more.

Finally, once we’re able to tweak and transform datasets for analysis, we will discuss making basic visualizations in Python, which will allow us to take our insights and analysis to the next level.

Our Promise to You

By the end of this course, you will have learned about Python programming.

    Sohail is excellent

    5.0

All I wanted was a brief introduction to Python and he has provided exactly that. His videos are concise and to the point, and very well paced. I also really enjoyed his method of not sticking strictly to a script and including his troubleshooting methods, it really helped with the flow and showed that programming is not about perfection all the time.

Would recommend him as an instructor.

This was a very helpful introductory course. Clear directions. Easy to understand. Good examples. Nice data set. Only one question about the position of the mean when grouping but otherwise quite thorough. I am well versed with SQL and using Functions in Excel and Access so not a complete novice to this kind of analysis. I do recommend the course for beginners.
