There’s a lot of evidence out there for Hypnotherapy as a modality for the treatment of PTSD. You can find many peer reviewed articles that will evaluate the legitimacy of using Hypnotherapy with PTSD clients. I completed this course as an adjunct to my private counselling practice. I’m now registered with IICT and am utilising this qualification with clients suffering from PTSD; it has made the world of difference to them. There is a lot of scepticism in utilising Hypnotherapy for PTSD sufferers, especially for the medical/psychiatric fraternity, however ignorance is never a great pedestal to stand on, especially as PTSD is becoming more exposed within the mental health industry and there has to be a better therapy that what is currently offered to PTSD sufferers, and this course nails it.
